June 2022 - The birthday party went down well and there were 9 visitors from Germany, from 5 different clubs. We all enjoyed a Ploughman's lunch and a buffet super along with superb dancing by Yvonne. Some of the visitors entertained us by calling on the Sunday morning.
June 2022 - We are planning to hold a 20th birthday party dance on 18th preceded by club nights on the 16th & 17th and followed by an open mic period on Sunday 19th. Contact Yvonne or Nigel for more details.
May 2021 - Club opened for dancing again from the 20th. We are now back in our Home location at Bashley Village Hall, Bashley, BH25 5RY.
October 2020 - At last we can open the club again, we started with a small class on the 2nd Oct. in the New Milton Memorial Hall, and we will continue with both class and club on Friday evenings starting at 6.30pm. Not for long! Club closed again for lockdown.
March 2020 - Forced to return to UK early due to Covid 19 and had to close the club until further notice.
January 2020 - Once again Yvonne visited and called in Orlando.
September 2019 - A new class is planned for 13th September 2019.

January 2018 - Yvonne visited an Encore Resort in Winter Garden Orlando for a month and taught several workshops whilst there, introducing non-cloggers to our great activity. I am pleased to say the dancers who were from various places over the USA and Canada really enjoyed it, (some even saying they would look for a club when they returned home). This is what we in the UK would call "coals to Newcastle", given that the Appalachian mountains are only a few hundred miles north of Orlando!
16th - 18th August 2017 - Yvonne instructed at the 21st European Clog Convention in Reilingen, Germany, organised by the European Association of American Square Dancing Clubs (EAASDC). Whilst there Yvonne announced her retirement from Calling at Conventions, preferring to let the upcoming youngsters have the stage time from now.
13th February 2017 - Yvonne visited the Indian River Cloggers based on the Space Coast Florida. Yvonne enjoyed herself so much dancing that she returned later in the week and was asked to teach.

15th December 2016 - Our traditional Xmas party was cancelled due to Yvonne being ill, but it was decided to celebrate the Chinese New Year in January instead.

26th - 28th August 2016 - Yvonne and 6 members of the club travelled to Germany to Call and dance at the European Clogging Convention.

26th April 2014 - Yvonne was the guest instructor at the Horseshoe City Dance in Brühl Germany.
February/March 2014 - Jackie and Margaret ventured forth as new Instructors to cover whilst Yvonne was on holiday.
9th January 2014 - Amber started the 2nd UK Contemporary Appalachian tap club called the "Rock Hoppers" in Guernsey.

20th September 2013 - A new class of 9 started on Friday evenings between 6.30pm and 7.30pm in the Bashley Village Hall.
20th September 2013 - A class for a potential caller - Amber - started.
2nd - 4th August 2013 - Yvonne and 9 members of the club travelled to Germany to Call and dance at the European Clogging Convention.

13th April 2013 - Yvonne was the guest instructor at the Hurrican Spinners clogging group in Rüsselsheim Germany.
20th December 2012 - club Xmas party at the Bashley village hall where the club and class mixed and danced together whilst enjoying a buffet and mulled wine. This year the party was different in that Yvonne fell sick with food poisoning just before the event started. Having sent Yvonne home, Jackie and Margaret kept the evening going by playing pre-recorded and cued music whilst leading the dancing from the stage. I think everyone enjoyed themselves - not as much as when Yvonne is there though.
5th October 2012 - A new class of 5 started on Friday evenings between 6.30pm and 7.30pm in the Bashley Village Hall.
5th October 2012 - A class for 2 potential callers - Jackie and Margaret - started.
16th June 2012 - The Club 10th birthday party was held in the Bashley Village Hall, 30 dancing visitors were welcomed to the Saturday special dance which was preceded by two club nights on the Thursday and Friday. In spite of a couple of setbacks - fire alarm being set off and a total loss of power later in the day - the event went off in a typical British fashion. There was a BBQ at lunch time and later in the day 'afternoon tea' was served during the power cut. Yvonne taught 6 hours of workshops followed by 2 hours of dancing in the evening. 25th November 2010 - Yvonne and 5 members of the club toured the west coast of Norway on a Hurtigruten ship. Whilst in the Artic circle Yvonne taught a Xmas workshop.
16th September 2011 - A new class of 6 started on Friday evenings between 6.30pm and 7.30pm in the Bashley Village Hall.
6th May 2011 - A new class of 4 started on Friday evenings between 6.30pm and 7.30pm in the Bashley Village Hall.

13th September 2010 - Yvonne started the new course at the Pavilion Bournemouth for 'Pavilion Dance'.
10th September 2010 - A new course started at Bashley with 10 dancers.
5th September 2010 - Yvonne held an introductory session at the Pavilion Bournemouth for 'Pavilion Dance'. The session was enjoyed by everyone.
2nd September 2010 - An introductory session was held between 6.30pm and 7.30pm in the Bashley Village Hall and was attended by 15 dancers.
10th - 12th June 2010 - Tina Kipp (a well known Clogging instructor from the Smiling Frog Hoppers in Germany) visited the south coast with a group of 10 cloggers; coincidentally 2 other cloggers came with Cortina (an instructor from Hannover), they all visited the AppalTappers in Bashley to dance on the regular club nights Thursday and Friday 10/11th June as well as at the club BBQ on Saturday 12th June.
May 2010 - Yvonne and Nigel visited China and clogged in the grounds of the Heavenly Temple in Beijing (along with dozens of other people each dancing their own favourite type of dance).
April 2010 - Yvonne and Nigel visited and enjoyed dancing with the Coastal Cowboys in Gosford and Tuggerah New South Wales Australia. Leanne gave Yvonne the opportunity of teaching a couple of workshops there.
March 2010 - Yvonne and Nigel visited and enjoyed dancing with the Rhythm Cloggers in Auckland New Zealand. Jean gave Yvonne the opportunity of teaching a workshop there.
17th December 2009 - club Xmas party at the Bashley village hall where the club and class mix and dance together whilst enjoying a buffet and mulled wine.
18th September 2009 - a new class of 8 started on Friday evenings between 6.30pm and 730pm in the Bashley Village Hall.
4th/6th September 2009 - Yvonne instructed at the Fall Round Up in Darmstadt, Germany, organised by the European Association of American Square Dancing Clubs (EAASDC).
29th/31st May 2009 - Yvonne instructed in Gross Gerau Germany at the European Callers and Teachers Association (ECTA).
23rd January 2009 - a new class of 8 started on Friday evenings between 7pm and 8pm in the Bashley Village Hall
18th December 2008 - club Xmas party at the Bashley village hall where the club and class mixed and danced together whilst enjoying a buffet and mulled wine.
10th August 2008 - The group gave a demo at the Brockenhurst village hall as part of a local musical show. Pictures from this event.
20th/22nd June 2008 - Yvonne instructed in Dietzenbach Germany at the European Callers and Teachers Association (ECTA) .
9th - 16th May 2008 - Tina Kipp a well known Clogging instructor from the Smiling Frog Hoppers in Germany toured Hampshire with a group of cloggers, they visited the AppalTappers in New Milton to dance on the Sunday and Monday evenings 11/12th May as well as the regular club night on Thursday 15th May.
26th April 2008 - Yvonne was the guest instructor at the Mouse Busters Club Special in Germany - with over a hundred dancers it was a great success.
13th March 2008 - a new class of 15 started on Thursday evenings between 6pm and 7pm in the Bashley Village Hall
2nd February 2008 - Yvonne was the guest instructor at the City Stompers clogging group in New York.
13th December 2007 - club Xmas party at the Bashley village hall where the club and class mixed and danced together whilst enjoying a buffet and mulled wine.
13th and 20th September 2007 - two introductory evenings that started a new class.
8th September 2007 - Yvonne was the guest instructor at the Country Diamonds 7th Clogging Special in Mörfelden-Walldorf Germany.
8th August 2007 - The group were to give a demo at the Everton village fete, however it was rained off.
3rd/5th August 2007 - Yvonne instructed in Mannheim-Feudenheim Germany at the European Callers and Teachers Association (ECTA) .
16th July 2007 - The group gave a demo at the Hordle School fete, it was felt that this was a great success. Pictures from this event.
23rd June 2007 - The group attempted a demo at the Tiptoe School fete but were unfortunately washed out in the bad weather.
19th April 2007 - The group moved to their new home in Bashley Village Hall.

19th November 2006 - a group of our members visited the Appalachian Roots show staring Ira Bernstein & Riley Baugus at the Tarrant Keyneston Village Hall. There was a very good workshop on flat footing in the afternoon before the show.
27th October2006 - demonstration in Brockenhurst for the Village Hall restoration fund appeal.
19th October 2006 - a new class of 14 started on Thursday evenings between 5.30pm and 6.30pm

28/30 July 2006 - Yvonne once again instructed in Schwäbisch Hall Germany at the European Callers and Teachers Association (ECTA) Clogging Convention.
